Year 1 Visit to Thorndon Country Park
The children in year 1 had a fabulous day at Thorndon Park. To support their learning in class they went in search of the Gruffalo. “We started off pretending to be squirrels, collecting and burying nuts. Then the lady talked to us and then she gave us 15 seconds to go and find our nuts that we buried. Next we saw the mouse and then the fox. The lady told us that foxes are really good at hiding so we played hide and seek. After lunch we saw the Gruffalo and then the owl and then the snake and then we finally saw the Gruffalo’s child.” Olly and Eva (Opal class).
